CEC has achieved RDA accreditation

Chelmsford Equestrian Centre is extremely pleased to announce that it has been accredited with the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Accessibility Mark.

Our staff undertook a training and assessment day in late 2014 as part of the programme and are extremely proud of their achievement in gaining this accreditation.

Thanks to the specialist training provided by the RDA, the Centre is able to expand its client base to be a fully inclusive riding establishment. The Accessibility Mark will give confidence to customers that our Centre has the right facilities and our staff the knowledge and expertise to offer more riding opportunities to less able-bodied riders and riders with learning difficulties.

Accreditation does not mean that we are able to provide the full range of services provided by existing RDA centres and as such we encourage parents of children and adults hoping to ride to contact us, so that we can discuss their requirements in more detail and ensure that we are able to meet their needs fully.

The Riding School is set in 70 acres of Essex countryside just on the outskirts of Chelmsford, and is near the A12/M25 and as such is easy to get to for riders who want riding lessons near Brentwood, Bilerricay, Tiptree and even East London.

It consists of a riding school, livery yard, and a cross-country training course. We have two indoor and two outdoor arenas. There are 34 horses and ponies in the school, suiting a range of adult and child riders from complete beginner to advanced.
